CODE OF CONDUCT
BK Birla Centre for Education is a world-class Senior Secondary Co-Ed Day cum Boys’ Residential CBSE-affiliated School in India. Located just 126 km from Mumbai. We aim to develop disciplined children who are punctual, gentle, truthful, and sincere to themselves, and everyone who comes into contact with them. To ensure proper disciple etiquette in our students, we follow a strictly enforced codex.
- Students should remain clean and hygienic on all working and non-working days.
- Disturbing peace in the school is forbidden.
- Each student must be punctual in reporting and regular in attendance.
- Changing of classrooms between periods, whenever necessary, should be done silently and in an orderly manner.
- Students should take pride in caring for school property. They must remember that they belong to the school community and that they are a part of the school community. Care should be taken of class furniture- namely computers, cupboards, desks, chairs, etc. The habit of writing or carving names on benches is strictly prohibited. In case of deliberate damage to any school property, the student will have to pay the cost of the property damaged, along with an indemnity fee.
- Valuable articles such as jewellery and electronic instruments should not be brought to school.
- Students must converse in English at all times; except during non-English language classes.
- Students must not be disobedient to teachers, prefects, and wardens. Usage of abusive or offensive language in conversations is strictly prohibited.
- Students should not miss any school period.
- Students are expected to follow the code of sportsmanship- viz. stick to the rules, keep their temper cool, their body fit, have a sound heart in defeat, pride in victory, a clear soul, a strong mind, and a healthy body.
- Students must be in proper sports uniforms when they are on the field.
- Hostels are out of bounds during school hours.
- Students should keep their space tidy; with their belongings kept neatly in cupboards and trunks. The dormitories and rooms should always be neat and attractive.
- Students should ensure that lights and fans are turned off when not in use and that nobody tampers with any electrical circuits.
- Students should not play games using sport equipment, inside their hostels.
- Students should not light incense sticks and candles in the dormitory, due to possible allergic reactions in other students.
- It is a crime to steal or destroy articles belonging to other students. If a student finds lost articles, he should hand them over to the school authorities.
Withdrawal Policy:
- In case of withdrawal during the academic year, the application must be made two months before the commencement of the next term, failing which the next Term’s fee and any other applicable fees shall become due and payable.
- In case of withdrawal during the current term, no fees will be refunded.
Mobile Phones:
- If any student is found carrying a Mobile Phone without permission from their Housemaster, it will be confiscated on the spot and the SIM card shall be discarded. A Fine of Rs.4000 shall also be imposed on them.
- If the student is caught a second time, the phone shall be confiscated and damaged. The child will be suspended from the school for a period of one month along with a fine of Rs 5,000.00.
- If there is another incident of the child being caught under the same clause, he will be expelled from the school with immediate effect.
- All parents are expected to instruct their ward, of the consequences of disobeying the school rules. Do not give them mobile phones without the prior permission of the Principal and the Housemaster.
