When the festive joy of Lord Krishna’s birth coincides with Teachers' Day, it brings to light a timeless truth: Krishna was, at his core, the ultimate mentor—the Jagadguru. He did not teach from the quiet comfort of a traditional lecture hall; he offered guidance amidst the dust, chaos, and uncertainty of a battlefield, steering Arjuna with patience, wisdom, and deep empathy.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna outlines the essence of a true learning relationship:

तद्विद्धि प्रणिपातेन परिप्रश्नेन सेवया।
उपदेक्ष्यन्ति ते ज्ञानं ज्ञानिनस्तत्त्वदर्शिनः॥

(Chapter 4, Verse 34)

"Acquire wisdom through reverence, thoughtful inquiry, and service. The wise who have seen the truth will impart knowledge unto you."

This ancient Guru-Shishya ethos finds a vibrant, modern home at the B. K. Birla Centre for Education (BKBCE) in Pune.
