Inter House Rangoli
The Rangoli colours play a big role in bringing out the festive spirit during celebrations. Therefore, to promote this traditional art form amongst our students, an Inter-HouseRangoli making competition was conducted in B. K Birla Centre for Education, Pune on 11th September, 2021, Saturday.
Eight to nine students from each house, namely Agni, Prithvi, Vyom and Salilparticipated. They had to make a Rangoli based on the Topic/Theme: Ganesh Utsav
Suggested concepts: *Portraying various forms of Lord Ganesha
*Symbolic version of Lord Ganesha projecting life lessons, global issues etc.
The time duration was between 11:45am and 1:45 pm.
The criteria for judgement was the selection of the
a) Design and Theme :20 marks
b) Colour :20 marks
c) Neatness : 5 marks
d) Composition : 5 marks
The Judges were Honourable Principal, Dr. S. K Sanyal and School Coordinator, Mrs. Kamakshi M.
The Agni house won this competition with a good margin. They scored the highest marks in overall presentation and neatness. The Salil house came second, followed by the Prithvi house and then the Vyom house. All the teams put in their best efforts and after the competition the area close to the stage was sparkling with such beautiful use of colours and designs which added to the festive galore. Organizing such events helps students to remain in close touch with their culture. This Rangoli making competition motivated the students to perform and outshine in their creative skills and most important, work as a team to bring laurels to their house.
