“To succeed in life and achieve results, you must understand and master three mighty forces — desire, belief, and expectation.”

Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, the 'missile man' who came to be known as 'People's President', passed away on July 27, 2015, after he collapsed during a lecture at the IIM in Shillong. But his inspiring thoughts would continue to live with us.

The students and staff at BK Birla Centre for Education paid homage to him on the morning of July 28. A condolence meet was organized wherein the principal of the school Dr SK Sanyal expressed his grief on the demise of this great visionary. The staff and students saw videos on the life, struggle, hard work, achievements and ideologies of this great man, inspiring everyone in the audience.

Rangoli Competition

August 2, 2015

Rangoli is the expression of an artistic vision through the joyful use of colours. The colourful patterns drawn on the doorsteps are not just for decorative purposes; they embody a deep religious spirit too. Rangoli is not meant for mere beautification but is supposed to prevent evil as well.

Keeping this vibrant and colourful tradition alive, the talented and artistic Birlites participated in the inter house Rangoli Competition held on the August 1, 2015.

All four houses presented colourful patterns and themes. Prithvi House impressed the judges and emerged as the winner of the competition. While Salil and Vyom House bagged the same second position, Agni House stood third. All students gave their best performance.

BIRLITES IN FRANCE

November 29, 2016

I want to express my delight and complete satisfaction for the recent tour of France with students. France which contains an abundance of cultural and aesthetic attractions to please the seasoned travellers. We spent 07 lovely days in Rouen and Paris.

Rouen is the most beautiful town of France. Old castles on the hilltops with stone houses clustered at the base, winding old streets, flower pots and hanging baskets, old bridges over small or large rivers, large and small churches, the Rouen has lots of them!

Our tour started on 29th November 2016 and every day we ate the best that the region had to offer. On most afternoons, we stopped at a scenic place for a delightful picnic of local cheeses and sausages. The food was delicious, with many regional specialties. We made it our personal mission to try everything.

Our next destination was Paris. Paris is the capital and the most populous city of the France. We loved our visit to Paris where we have visited many famous monuments like Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe, Opéra Garnier, Les Invalides, Musée Du Louvre, Musée d’Orsey and many more.
