BKBCE hosts IPSC Lit Fest

BK Birla Centre for education hosted the IPSC LIT. FEST 2018-19 from 10th September to 12th September 2018. Eleven teams from across the country, besides the host school, competed to excel, outshine and bring glory to themselves and their Alma Mater, making the event a great success.

The teams which participated in the Fest were:-

  1. Mayo college Girls’ school, Ajmer
  2. Mayo college, Ajmer
  3. Birla Vidya Mandir, Nainital
  4. Mody School, Lakshmangarh
  5. Miles Bronson Residential school, Guwahati
  6. Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls’ School, Jaipur
  7. Rajkumar College, Raipur
  8. The Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet
  9. Sainik School, Balachadi
  10. Rashtriya Military School, Belgaum
  11. The Emerald Heights International School, Indore and
  12. B.K.Birla Centre for Education

It was an event in which all students from different schools showcased their various talents in distinct events mainly categorized as speaking, composing and performing events.

The competitions were held in the following categories:-

1) Speaking: –

  • The multi-Format English Debate
  • Hindi Debate
  • Shloka Chanting
  • English and Hindi Poetry Reading

2) Composing: –

  • Book cover Designing
  • English and Hindi Creative text
  • Hindi to English Translation
  • English to Hindi Translation

3) Performing: –

  • English Duologue: Performed conversation
  • General Quiz

Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer was adjudged the best delegation team.

BKBCE won second-best delegation overall.

The third best delegation was Emerald Heights International School, Indore.

Our school also achieved the overall dramatics (short experimental theatre) trophy.

A newsletter titled ‘THE BIRLA BUGLE’ was published, giving a report of the events of the day and the creative contributions from the students of the participating teams. Mr. Mukherjee P, head of the jury, along with the distinguished members of the jury, conducted and supervised the events.

Dr. NK Dutta, the founder cum Principal of Miles Bronson Residential School, Guwahati – who was the chief guest of the closing ceremony – gave away the prizes and felicitated the winners.

The Principal Dr. SK Sanyal in his address thanked all the participating schools who travelled from far and wide and made this event a memorable one. He thanked the IPSC for giving BKBCE the chance to prove their mettle once more.

The mega event provided all the participating teams with a few days to cherish all through their lives.
