Rain Water Harvesting

Rainwater harvesting refers to the collecting of rainwater, mostly from a roof or a mountain, from where it flows through gutters into a collection tank. In other words, it refers to a storage system-either above or below the ground-that collects, stores and distributes run-off rain water or snow.

In our school also, the Management has taken keen initiative to harvest the rain water and ensure that the natural assets in the form of rain water is stored and used for our daily purposes. Our rain water harvesting system collects water in a well surrounded by sand which naturally filters the water. Such filtered water is further treated as per standards before it is supplied to the campus for use.
